My personal mission statement, as I have said, has changed, but overall remains the same from year to year....
Here's my initial attempt to put it in writing:
My personal mission statement as a teacher is to help student realize their fullest potential as learners, students and community members (school members, teenagers).

Overall I agree with you. It's short and to the point. The ultimate reason why we are educators is to help young people achieve their goals and even to help formulate new goals.
Hi Mary, It seems that there are more than one person that has the same mission. Luis as well also believes in helping students achieve their highest potential.
I agree with your mission statement. It would be wonderful if we could get students to realize how much they are really capable of. I wish we could reach every student.
